Transforming Doncaster Driveways
The Spec
A full excavation was required throughout the area before a new permeable suds-compliant base was installed. This included a geotextile non-woven membrane, type 3 reduced fines limestone sub base and open textured tarmac base. This is the correct base for a resin-bound driveway Doncaster to ensure longevity.
We added a lovely granite stone block border at the entrance and around the perimeter to add contrast against the resin-bound surface. We also created two raised tree pits around existing trees allowing for a through road and better turning circle.
An added benefit of our resin-bound stone is that it is permeable, allowing water to drain through it naturally. Making it fully compliant with SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) meaning no planning permission is required.
The Project
The driveway was finished off with our UVR stable resin binder in a blend made up from a golden quarts mixture of stone which won’t fade in sunlight and requires very little maintenance year-round.
Resin-bound systems are created by mixing natural stones with a resin binder, hand-trowelled and machine-finished to a smooth finish with no loose stones. They are hard-wearing and highly durable with Very low maintenance!
