Resin Bound Surfacing for Pool Surrounding Area
Resin Bound Poolside Case Study
Resin-bound surfacing is an extremely popular choice when it comes to swimming pools, villas and surrounding pathways. Whether it’s for a commercial or domestic setting or internal or external locations – a seamless resin-bound surface seems to be the go-to choice.
This particular project was in Misterton, Doncaster. The client was looking to replace their existing tiled surround, which was old and starting to look unsightly due to the cracks, pooling and weathering.
The Spec
The spec was for a seamless, low-maintenance finish that had the holiday beach feel. Our experienced team removed the existing surface and installed a new, permeable 14mm open textured tarmac base.
This is an ideal base for such a project as it is strong, flexible, permeable and most importantly, long lasting.
The Choice of Colour
The next step for this project was to choose a suitable colour for the resin. Our client was looking for a sandy beach feel, so after looking through our wide range of specially dried aggregate, the decision was made to go for a bespoke blend of autumn quarts and golden quarts in a 1-3mm stone.
This gave the customer a perfect golden sandy beach look.
