A full excavation was required throughout the area before a new permeable suds-compliant base was installed.  This included a geotextile non-woven membrane, type 3 reduced fines limestone sub-base and open textured tarmac base. This is the correct base for a resin-bound driveway in Rotherham to ensure longevity for many years to come. An added benefit of our resin-bound stone is that it is permeable, allowing water to drain through it naturally. Making it fully compliant with SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems), meaning no planning permission is required.
